How my hearing loss began.

At age 35 I woke up one morning and noticed I had hearing loss, and pressure in my left ear. Thinking I just had allergies, I took over the counter meds and continued my daily life activities. After about a month, I decided to go to my doctor thinking I had a ear infection that would not clear up. That is when I was told I had SN hearing loss in both ears but the left ear was much worse, and I actually needed hearing aids. Over the next few years, my hearing loss was progressive with episodes of sudden hearing loss of at least 15db or more. At 41 years old I had profound hearing loss in my left ear which hearing aids did not help and severe hearing loss in my right ear that was benefiting from hearing aid use.
